R3D6: An inside sort of day

on

Yesterday was pretty appalling where my period was concerned, and I had to get up a few times during the night. But luckily I now have better period protection (check out my post on it here) and so it’s a lot easier to deal with. It just made me feel a bit meh and the weather wasn’t great either so we stayed in most of the day. Weekends aren’t really weekends any more, so no great loss!

So after my chocolate cookies last night I thought I might end up weighing more, but hurrah it was slightly less! (Probably more or less the same.)

Weight: -0.1kg. -1.2kg this round / week. Usually I do end up weighing more on my period so hopefully it will reduce a bit. My aim is to meet my DietBet goals which are -4kg by May 3-4, which sounds a lot but I think (hope) is achievable! I basically got there last month and then had a cheat week so it should be possible.

Breakfast: We got up late and then I had a work call for some emergency thing so went straight for lunch.

Lunch: A large green salad with one egg. I decided to add some apple to it as it’s nice with a bit of sweetness. It had red onion, tomato, cucumber, olives, sweet pepper, basil… I do like a good salad and T is now a convert too.

Exercise: Nothing whilst this heavy period is on but I hope I can get back to it tomorrow. I did walk Dog for a reasonably long walk this evening. I do always do a walk or some outside play time – despite the chill we played outside on our terrace for a while but didn’t do any formal exercise.

Snack: Almonds. Rice crackers. Grenade bar. Yeah, too many snacks but what can you do when your period is so awful?!

Dinner: Omelette with two eggs plus the end of the carton of egg whites (I guess maybe two eggs worth?!) and chilli, red onion and garlic. And Deliciou vegan “bacon” spices. Delicious!

Snack: I was really proud of myself for eating an apple instead of chocolate! And some red grapes! I could have kept on snacking but I told myself I had to stop. Had a sliver of vegan chocolate (I make it myself and keep it in the freezer) and managed to keep from sticking my nose in B’s Easter bucket. I think I did quite well!

Aside from this I forgot to mention that I’m doing fairly well on my reading challenge. I’m on book 53 of the year. At the moment I’ve just finished the Beatrix Rose series of books. It’s trashy and silly (rogue female assassin) but it’s fun to read and it’s British which makes a pleasant change! I tend to read on my kindle app in bed when the others are asleep. I don’t need as much sleep as B or T (or Dog!) so I have a little bit of alone time even though I’m right next to them!

How’s lockdown going for everyone else?

Quarantine blows! Glad to see you are still going strong with your challenges. My weight hasn’t budged in a while, but my quarantine life is kinda crazy and my workouts are mostly shorter and more sporadic so I don’t think I am ready to lose money on it right now. My weight has pretty much stayed the same (less working out but also less eating out – so I guess they cancel each other out). Anyway, hoping to make more time to keep up with blogs! I feel like I’ve been gone a long time!

Ahh how are you? Yeah I’m finding it hard tbh, it’s much harder to make the time to exercise when the kid is here, and also all the food is just around tempting me! Haha! My neighbours just brought around cheesecake! 😱

Oh that would be so hard! I at least don’t have neighbors bringing me treats! Good luck exercising with kid around, I hope you meet your goal!
