Hi, I’m Nara. My blogging story began in 2015 with my first blog, Zero to Zygote. If you want to read the back story, please have a look there as there is a lot! I started blogging because I’d had a history of infertility, I was in a happy relationship and we wanted to think about having children (or more singularly: a child).
Along the way I got into some adoption stuff as both my partner and I were adopted as babies, and this would be our first biological relative, and that was mindblowing.
That blog followed our journey through the heartache of infertility, addressing the feelings I had on adoption, and the gruelling process of IVF, miscarriage and immune therapy.
I wasn’t sure if it was ever going to happen for us.
Spoiler: It did!
And so I’m now a mother and I don’t think anything could ever bring me more happiness. It’s brought a depth of joy I never thought possible. And I am so grateful that I get to have this experience.
Along the way there may be a bit on adoption, my experience of parenting a small person, and health/fitness. (I’m trying to get healthier as I want to be around for a long time… I’m literally that mum from Love You Forever.) And I’d like to practice gratitude for everything I’ve been lucky enough to experience, even if it’s nothing of any note to anyone else – I think it’s important to take joy in the small things.
So there you have it; this is me.
